A Session is like a Desktop.

Applications are visible here.

tmux new -s a_session_name

displays:

sessions should be nested with care, unset $TMUX to force

NOTE: tmux does support Nested sessions, but this adds complexity.

For instance to create a new Window within a specific session, an additional b is needed:
