PFSense - Logs - Turn on logging for pfSense default blocks
There are some logs that can be turned on to see traffic blocked by rules set up by pfSense behind the scenes that you usually do not see.
Navigate to Firewall → Rules.
- Click the middle icon on the right side, to view the logs.
- Click Settings.
In General Logging Options:
- In Log firewall default blocks:
- Log packets matched from the default block rules in the ruleset: Checked.
- Log packets matched from the default pass rules put in the ruleset: Checked.
NOTE: That will cause traffic that has been blocked to show up in the logs.
- This includes IPv6 traffic, even though IPv6 Networking might have been disabled.
