After a big drop or rise, price then moves sideways in a corrective fashion.

They have the inverse characteristics of impulsive moves. Meaning, they tend to have;

• Smaller Candles.
• Greater mix between bull/bear candles.
• Closes more towards the middle with larger wicks.

If the logic of impulsive moves is applied, it is easy to understand and identify corrective moves.
