====== Ubuntu - tmux - Using tmux - Create a Window ======

A **Window** is like a Virtual Desktop.

Each Virtual Desktop can contain its own screen or applications.

**NOTE:**  The new window will be shown on the status bar at the bottom of tmux.

  * The active window will have a ***** symbol next to it.

  * where **1** is the number of the Window to change to.
    * Check the bottom status bar of tmux to see what Windows numbers are available.
